Dash Resort Langkawi

LikedDefinetly great resort vibes. You walk in and everything is open air around the hotel. The pool with beachfront view and the live Dj playing daily makes it great for friends to have fun. Hotel breakfast was also great! especially with the beachfront view (although we chose to eat in the AC section). Pretty decent gym as well.

DislikedRoom amenities that are default can be slightly better.

LikedIt's difficult to find anything positive when one did not enjoy the stay at the hotel at all. I suppose, breakfast was quite good with a variety of international and local food. A positive part of the stay was a location within a short walking distance to the superb Unkaizan Japanese restaurant.

DislikedSome may take it for an innovation when the music from the swimming pool thumps up to the midnight, I don't. Our room had a "garden" view - undeveloped, empty area and featured all the "nice garden" smells from the hotel sewage treatment house in the back yard....yak! Room cleaning and service were sloppy. Our laundry was returned crimpled. Ironing was not specified (printed) in the laundry request list and later verbally communicated by the staff to be charged separately. The Dash heftily charges for everything: use of swimming pool, deck chairs, parasol, drinks, food etc.. Next door hotel on the beach offers the same for quite a bit less.
