Friendly helpful staff, short walk from the train station and to the city centre. Had a lovely comfortable room on the top floor and pleasantly surprised to find a TV I could use Netflix on! Which as someone who watches the same shows to sleep every night is a great comfort whilst away. Great value for money too. Would recommend to anyone staying in Sheffield

DislikedParking was a issue as it stated free parking on site but had to park in the local NCP that was a short distance but still wasn't as described other than this my stay was good

LikedThe location is great. Extremely reasonable price

DislikedThe rooms smell a little stale and the breakfast wasn’t the best. It’s cheap for a reason, but it was OK considering it’s included in the price.

LikedThe breakfast was hot and well cooked although very limited on choice.

DislikedThe room was filthy. We found a used condom wrapper on the floor. The general condition of the room was shoddy. The matress was lumpy and so uncomfortable.. The whole hotel needs refurbishing. The staff were rude. We weren't allowed to park out the front of the hotel even though when we stayed before we were allowed to. We were left stranded at the front desk with a contact number to call when our key card locked us out of the lift area. It was not value for money as the whole experience tainted our weekend.

LikedGreat location to Ponds forge pool .

DislikedWe parked in a space in the hotel car park when we arrived, asked if this was OK and was told it was fine, and that is is first come first served basis (as it also states on Booking.com) . Later that day we were told by another member of staff that we could park there as it may have been reserved, then we were told by a 3rd member of staff that we couldn't park there because they'd had cars burgled a month ago and that the CCTV cameras at the hotel are or adequate or manned. My partner stayed here 3 weeks ago and parked in the carpark with no mention of any car security incidents. By later the day of our stay and the following morning the car park was heaving with cars parked in non designated spaces , so clearly not an issue with security, more like reserving spaces which is not an option or everyone?! I was told Booking.com information is wrong ! All very complicated and misleading, not how I like to start a trip .
