Interested in the history of Taganrog? Visit the Museum of Local Lore, housed in an ornate palace built by the mayor of Taganrog, Nikolay Alferaki, in 1848. Take a guided tour to learn the palace’s history and browse impressive exhibition halls displaying ceramics, textiles and paintings.

Getting around

You can access Taganrog by flying into Taganrog Yuzhny Airport, seven kilometers from the city center, while trains and buses travel from Rostov-on-Don. When in town, the most convenient way to get around is by tram or taxi.
