The room itself was large, but the double bed was two singles pushed together with no topper, so you were forced to sleep on one side. I was on the ground floor close to the restaurant and the noise from other guests coming and going was amplified through my room, as well as constant banging and crashing. I was there to sit an exam early the next morning so this was very undesirable. Tried to order room service from the restaurant as soon as they opened at 17:30 and was told that I had to wait until 19:30 as they were fully booked, so I went elsewhere. It was quite cold in Cairns and the split system was not reverse cycle, so was unable to heat the room, thankfully there was extra blankets as you only get a top sheet on the bed. Due to my profession and study I have stayed at many accomodation sites in Cairns, and this was the worst. I wouldn't book here again.
