We recently took a vacation to San Francisco and stayed at the Chelsea Motor Inn. Overall, it was a very good place to stay. The rooms were very clean and very roomy. We had two queen beds plus a whole seating area with two chairs and a table over by the window. We could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our window! Like a lot of the older hotels, though, there were a few quirks. The bathroom door couldn't be completely opened unless you had recently flushed the toilet! It stuck a little bit otherwise! Also the chair for the desk was badly ripped in the back - seemed strange to leave that chair there when everything else was nice! The location was really awesome! We could walk to so many places to eat and shop! I actually got sick and there was too nearby urgent cares and a pharmacy. We never had problems parking since we took uber or lift to most places in the city. The staff was cordial and I found the cleaning staff very friendly - which I appreciated as I had to stay in the room when I was sick. It is a very busy corner, but we had an interior room and for the most part, the noise did not bother me at all. We did run the air conditioning/heater unit, though, to give us that nice white noise which makes it easy to sleep! We would stay here again.
