The service was excellent with all staff being very friendly and helpful (including telling me about free weekend parking on St Kilda Road rather than $30 for parking at the hotel). The suite was excellent featuring a king size four poster bed, bath with TV and a view of the shrine of rememberance. We also received a welcome drink and chocolate. I was really looking forward to staying at the Royce hotel. Unfortunately the room I was in was next door to a room with a known problem of the fire alarm sounding because of the shower steam. The alarm went of several times during the early hours of the morning and for hours from about 7am. When I spoke to the reception about it they said they were aware and it happens all the time.
