great hotel, excellent location. Some of the staff I found to be a little rude! I understand that security is an issue but don't be so rude when asking your guests what they are doing at the hotel as they are walking back to their rooms!. Instead of saying what are you doing here in a very condescending manner how about politely asking, are you a guest staying at the hotel? I was also told twice on my 4 night stay that the roof top was closed for a private party. On another evening I had to wait in line outside the hotel to gain entrance. I think hotel guests should have preferred access, we are paying to stay there! one of the reasons for choosing The Standard was because of the roof top views! Some not all of the staff can be a little stuck up!
