We chose the Super 8 downtown for the price and location. The hotel was clean, nice and quiet. The breakfast was good - toast, yogurt, waffles, pastries, except no eggs - which was good enough to get ourselves out the door and experience all that Eco Park, Silver Lake, and Downtown Los Angeles have to offer! There's a cute coffee shop, Eightfold, across the street if you need stronger coffee and the famous Guisados for tacos down the street. Good bars, restaurants, and boutique shopping are also just a walk away. Room was a good size and equipped with microwave, fridge and TV. Something to keep in mind is that the electrical outlets (for charging phones, etc) were minimal and there wasn't a comforter on the bed. The bed was clean and comfy otherwise, but I had to keep the heater on at night to keep warm. I was on the second floor directly above the lobby with a view of Sunset and Downtown. Even on the night of the Dodgers game, it wasn't ever too loud. It's a good no-frills chill motel.
