About Baddeck

Escape to Baddeck, a sleepy resort town surrounded by the lush green pastures of rural Nova Scotia. It's set on the northern shores of Bras d'Or Lake and offers history, culture and beautiful waterscapes. Covering more than 1,000-square kilometres, Bras d'Or Lake is considered an inland saltwater sea. Wildlife-watching tours are a great way to explore the lake and spot puffins, Cape Breton Island's most famous residents. You could also spot majestic bald eagles soaring overhead.

Pay your respects to one of the world's most famous inventors at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. It's housed in Beinn Bhreagh, the former summer home of the Scottish-born scientist. Inside you'll find exhibits celebrating his various innovations, including the telephone.
