About Deva

Spreading across the banks of the Mures River, Deva is home to a towering 13th-century citadel and a collection of museums devoted to ancient civilisations. Many travellers stop in Deva on their way to visit Corvin Castle, a medieval structure featured in numerous film and television productions.

If you’re travelling with the family, spend a few hours at Aqualand Deva Water Park. Little ones can enjoy kid-friendly rides, while adults can indulge in spa treatments and mineral baths. Have lunch in the on-site cafe and stroll past manicured gardens nearby.

Padurea Bejan Nature Reserve spans 70 hectares within Bejan Forest, offering a chance to spy rare protected plant and flower species. Keep an eye out for nine indigenous variations of the Quercus family of trees, some carrying a distinction of “great scientific value”.
