Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is the largest leisure and themed entertainment complex in the Macau Peninsula. Full of shops, restaurants, nightlife and an amusement park, this once peaceful fishing community has evolved into one of the world’s biggest one-stop entertainment destinations.
Within the park, there are various themed sections, including Miami, New Orleans, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Venice, the Italian Riviera, and Cape Town. Shoppers can pick up anything from clothes and jewelry to home furnishings, while low-cost entertainment includes Vulcania, a 40-meter-tall replica volcano that erupts.
Ride the River of Fire white-water rafting and Dragon Quest roller coaster rides or see the 2,000-seat Roman-like Amphitheatre that puts on extravagant live shows. Traveling with the kids? Head to Aladdin’s Fort to enjoy kids’ rides or Vasco da Gama Waterworld for water-based shows. When you’ve worked up an appetite, dine at one of the international restaurants with sea views.
Getting there
Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is five-minutes’ walk from the Macau Ferry Terminal and can be reached via shuttle buses that leave the terminal every 30 minutes. Taxis are also available. It’s about 10 minutes from Macau International Airport.
