Where to stay in Sirolo

About Sirolo

Nestled in the middle of the expansive Conero Regional Park, Sirolo is medieval city blessed with cobbled laneways, centuries-old architecture and fascinating archaeological sites. While the city centres around its historic piazza, the picturesque beaches and nearby golf course attract travellers from across the globe.

Things to do

Beach lovers are spoilt for choice at Sirolo, where you can swim and snorkel around the rocks in the crystal-clear waters of Sassi Neri or embark on a leisurely cruise from Beach of the Two Sisters. Don’t forget to check out Spiaggia Mezzavalle, a remote beach with azure water and a laid-back cocktail bar overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

Looking for a challenging outdoor experience? Head to Monte Conero, a 572-metre-tall mountain with a hiking trail and several archaeological sites. Keep an eye out for native wildlife, such as the peregrine falcon, yellow-bellied toad and Eurasian badger. You can also see ancient exhibits in the Government Antiquarium, including ceramics and sculptures.

Sirolo’s city centre is a hub for Italian dining at family-run restaurants, including Ristorante Il Grottino, Ristorante Della Rosa or La Cambusa. After dinner, enjoy some local wine or beer at Bar Gelateria del Conero or cocktails at Bar Centrale. Alternatively, walk along a coastal trail to Mediterranean restaurants overlooking the Adriatic Sea, including Ristorante VITTORIA.

Enjoy some retail therapy around town with clothes shopping at Cutty Sark Fashion or Caterina M Boutique Atelier. You can also pick up local produce from Simply Market or The Workshop of Local Tastes. Keen golfers should head to Conero Golf Club for a round on the scenic course before grabbing a bite in the on-site restaurant.

Getting around

Sirolo is best reached by flying into Marche Airport and driving 30 minutes into town. You can get around the town centre on foot or walk to the nearby beaches, while a car or taxi is needed for venturing further afield.
