About Taman Negara Tunku Abdul Rahman

A tropical marine park comprised of five different islands, Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park is a nature lover’s paradise in Malaysia that’s popular for snorkelling and diving. Filled with natural beauty, the marine park is known for its unspoilt beaches, expanses of dense tropical rainforest and exquisite fauna and flora.

Outdoor recreation is found throughout the islands. Go for a dive around the corals of Sulug, learn to dive off Mamutik island or go snorkelling off Sapi to find an array of colourful fish.

When you’re hungry, head to the oceanfront Manukan restaurant and indulge in the daily beach barbecue spread. If you’re looking for more activity, take a hike along the 1.5-kilometre jungle trek that leads through the lush forest to the other side of the island.

Getting there

Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park is located off the island of Borneo, with hourly speedboat services at the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal situated on Kota Kinabalu. Speedboats also offer transportation between the islands, while walking is best for exploring each individual island.
