Stroll around Parque De Los Castillos and admire a trio of beautifully restored castles, including a Saxon-style palace built in the early 1900s. The palace houses the Alcorcón Glass Art Museum (MAVA), where you can see contemporary works by masters like Paolo Venini and Carlo Moretti.
Shop a huge range of brands at X-Madrid, one of the largest and most popular malls in the city. It’s housed in an enormous industrial-inspired building and features several levels of shops, specialty stores and eateries. Watch the latest blockbusters at the cinema and enjoy live entertainment like fashion shows and music concerts.
Alcorcon is dotted with plazas where you can sip sangria in the sunshine and enjoy classic snacks like “gambas al ajillo” shrimp sauteed in garlic sauce and “huevos rellenos” boiled eggs stuffed with tuna and red pepper. Stop by a traditional sandwich bar to try “bocadillo de calamares” fried squid sandwiches, one of the most famous dishes in Madrid.

Getting around Alcorcón
Alcorcon is pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. Drive or ride the train into Madrid city centre in 20 minutes. Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport is a 30-minute drive away.
