About Árta, Epirus

Arta is an ancient city alive with history, culture and Greek charm. Things to do in Árta

The Bridge of Arta spans across the Arachthos River and features a unique design with four soaring stone arches. It was built in the 17th century and is a feat of Ottoman engineering. The former tollhouse is repurposed as a folklore museum where you can see traditional Greek costumes.

Stroll around the Old Town and get lost on narrow alleys lined with traditional Greek houses. The Church of Panagia Parigoritissa soars over the town and features a handsome Byzantine façade and beautiful interior decorated with intricate mosaics.
