Looking for some underwater excitement? Embark on a diving or snorkelling adventure out of the Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour. Explore the Cape Byron Marine Park, home to a range of marine wildlife, including endangered grey nurse sharks, sea turtles and little terns.

For something more relaxed, stick to the shoreline or hop on board the Blue Warrior and enjoy some excellent whale watching between May and November. It’s common to see breaching humpback whales just offshore, in addition to pods of diving dolphins.

For a day out in nature, visit Brunswick Head Nature Reserve. The area offers kayaking, hiking, birdwatching, fishing, cycling and picnicking opportunities. Drop your line in at New Brighton Beach, enjoy a picnic on Harry’s Hill Beach or hike to Marshall’s Creek for some birdwatching.

If you’re looking for a dose of culture, spend the afternoon browsing the Brunswick Market in Memorial Park or align your visit with one of the many local festivals, including the Old and Gold, Kites and Bikes and Fish and Chips.

Ballina Byron Airport is located 40 kilometres outside of Brunswick Heads, offering a variety of domestic flights. The easiest way to get around is to rent a car or utilise one of the taxi services available.
