Things to do
Richardson Park is set on the banks of the Brisbane River and features wide open spaces and beautiful nature views. Kick a ball around on the grassy fields, enjoy a picnic on the foreshore and stretch your legs on the recreational pathways. A boat ramp makes it easy to launch a kayak and take a leisurely paddle on the Brisbane River.
Goodna is famous for its established jacaranda trees, some almost 100 years old. Some of the most beautiful trees can be found in Evan Marginson Park, which hosts the annual Jacaranda Festival in spring. In the jacaranda season, the park is covered in a blanket of purple flowers.
Another riverside gem, Wolston Park Golf Club challenges golfers with its tight fairways, undulating terrain and strategically placed bunkers. The course boasts beautiful views over the river and is surrounded by native bushland.
Goodna is pedestrian-friendly and easy to get around on foot. The neighbourhood is serviced by local buses and trains run between Goodna Station and the Brisbane CBD in around one hour. Brisbane Airport is a 30-minute drive away.
