Things to do in Lingya District
Amongst the cluster of grand modern architecture, Lingya District contains two of the city’s most prominent buildings. At the height of 85 stories, the Tuntex Sky Tower is the tallest building in the city and was once the largest in Taiwan. Although less architecturally present, Kaohsiung City Hall is just as important, as it houses the city government and local cultural events.

To sample the authentic dishes of the city, head to Guanghua Night Market and explore colourful stalls where you can try local delicacies like salty rice balls and oyster omelettes.
Escape the urban scene by delving into the scents of Sihwei Flower Park or follow the tranquil paths of Rainbow Park. The Water Tower Park is a particularly popular oasis in the city, defined by a large and colourful industrial tower that was transformed into a piece of art.
Getting around Lingya District
Numerous train stations are scattered around Lingya District, so it’s easy to get around. Various metros stations connect throughout the city, using colour coded routes that are simple to follow. Glory Pier is a beautiful port area, perfect for water transport and an idyllic evening walk.
