About Playa de Santiago

A quaint fishing village on the south side of La Gomera Island, Playa de Santiago is bordered by volcanic cliffs and the North Atlantic Ocean. The subtropical forests of Garajonay National Park are nearby, while Playa de Santiago has plenty of beaches, scuba diving sites and seafront dining.

Drive 30 minutes from Playa de Santiago to the capital city of San Sebastian to visit La Asuncion church in the main square, where Christopher Columbus stopped before his voyage to the New World.
