Descend into the Mønsted Kalkgruber Caves and explore one of the largest limestone mines in the world. Maintained by a local nature conservation group, the caves are home to thousands of bats. Aboveground, you can tour the historic lime-processing factory and learn more about the history of the mines.

An enormous moat encircles Spøttrup Castle. Built in the 1500s, the castle combines elements of Gothic and Romanesque architecture.
