Located in Downtown Denver, the Colorado Convention Center is a multipurpose venue spanning over 200,000 square metres. It’s the 12th-largest convention centre in the United States, hosting around 400 events per year.
Boasting a large exhibit hall, several meeting rooms, two ballrooms and an indoor amphitheatre, the venue has played host to an array of notable events, including the NBA Draft for the Denver Nuggets, trade shows, conventions and product launches. Beer enthusiasts can attend the annual Great American Beer Festival, while auto and boat lovers can visit during the Denver Auto Show and Denver Boat Show.
Admire the public art displayed throughout the centre, particularly the 12-metre sculpture of a bear attempting to peer inside. The convention centre’s prime location makes it easy to explore nearby attractions, including the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Pepsi Center and Paramount Theatre.
Getting there
The Colorado Convention Center is serviced by light rail via RTD’s Theatre-District-Convention Center station. You can hire a car at Denver International Airport, just 30 minutes’ drive away, and there’s ample parking on site.
