Where to stay in Eumundi

About Eumundi

From its flourishing arts-and-craft scene to its community of musicians, Eumundi is one of Australia's most creative country towns. It sits in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and is dotted with lush Heritage-listed fig trees and charming colonial buildings.

Things to do

Held on Saturdays and Wednesdays, the Original Eumundi Markets are open rain or shine. From artisan jewellery and hand-carved homewares to natural skincare and bohemian clothing, Eumundi is Australia's premier artisan market. There are over 600 stalls to explore, plus a variety of food stands serving everything from organic coffee to Turkish kebabs.

Eumundi is anchored by a lively town centre, lined with weatherboard buildings and charming tin-roof cottages. Memorial Drive a great place for a stroll, where you can stop in at laid-back cafes, local art galleries and colourful craft boutiques. Visit the Murra Wolka Creations gallery to admire impressive artwork by
Indigenous artists.

The Sunshine Coast is famous for its tropical crops, including ginger. Geared towards families, the Ginger Factory offers a chance to get a unique glimpse at how the root is grown, harvested and processed. The factory is set in a tranquil garden area and features an educational boat ride, vintage steam train and a fantastic gift store.

Just out of town is the Eumundi Conservation Park. A network of trails wind through the park and showcase its bubbling creeks, towering eucalypt trees and lush rainforests. The scenic trails are popular with bushwalkers, horse riders and mountain bikers.

Getting around

Anchored by Memorial Drive, the Eumundi town centre is easy to explore on foot. The town is about 20 kilometres south-west of Noosa Heads, with the drive taking around 20 minutes. If you're arriving from Brisbane, allow at least 90 minutes. You can also catch public transport from Roma Street Station in 2.5 hours.
