Things to do in Gosford
Kibble Park lies at the heart of Gosford, with the vibrant shopping strip of William Street Mall along its northern edge. Visit the Gosford Classic Car Museum, the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, where you can see vintage Ferraris, Austin Healeys and roadsters.
Explore Brisbane Water National Park and its numerous walking and cycling trails that meander through its lush rainforest. Admire the ancient Aboriginal engravings, cast a fishing line and take in the scenic views of its rugged sandstone landscapes.
Spend an afternoon swimming at one of the many beautiful beaches that surround Gosford, with alluring stretches of sand at Avoca and Ettalong. The Central Coast is also a great place to learn to surf, with surf schools at nearby Shelley and Terrigal beaches.
Head to the Australian Reptile Park and get up close with native Australian wildlife, such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats and Tasmanian devils. Witness live crocodile feeding, photograph the Komodo dragons and take a walk with the giant Galapagos tortoise.
Getting around Gosford
Gosford is just over one hour’s drive north of Sydney and connected by regular train services, while it’s around 90 minutes’ drive from Newcastle. Gosford Station is a short stroll from William Street Mall, with buses connecting to neighbouring Central Coast towns.
