About Phantasialand

Phantasialand is a popular entertainment park situated 20 kilometres south of Cologne in the region of Brühl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Phantasialand represents an ideal balance of family friendly entertainment and thrill-seeker attraction. Six distinctly themed areas provide for a variety of tourist tastes.

The Phantasialand theme park incorporates two entire regions geared toward children, Berlin and Wuze Town, offering the popular attractions Wintergarten and Temple of the Night Hawk. Mexico serves as a replication of ancient Aztec and Mayan times, boasting the park’s most thrilling ride, Talocan, and the popular roller coaster ride, Colorado Adventure. China Town, Mystery, and Deep in Africa are three additional theme realms, each with their own distinct entertainment amenities, most notably the Black Mamba located in Africa and Taron in the Mystery area.

Phantasialand land is serviced by exclusive shuttle buses that route from the Brühl train station and the Brühl Mitte tram stop. Multiple parking areas provide easy access to different sections of the park.

Phantasialand was opened to the public in the mid-1900s and has since experienced a steady influx of tourism, currently serving over one million visitors annually. The most notable historical event was an electrical fire that occurred in 2001, causing millions of dollars’ worth of damage and injuring more than 50 people.
