On the banks of Kananook Creek and Port Phillip Bay, you’ll find one of the most picturesque foreshores in Australia. Enjoy a picnic on the grass or dine at one of the waterfront restaurants. Stretching for 2.5 kilometres, Frankston Beach is anchored by a historic pier and is a great spot to bask on the golden sand and stroll the scenic boardwalk.

The centre also houses one of the top independent performing arts theatres in Victoria, hosting live music, comedy and drama. At the McClelland Gallery + Sculpture Park, you’ll be mesmerised by more than 100 larger-than-life outdoor installations.

Loved by artists, Olivers Hill commands spectacular views over Port Phillip Bay. Access is via a coastal trail that winds up to the clifftops. At George Pentland Botanic Gardens, you can admire colourful Australian flowers and take part in guided nature walks and educational activities.

Built from honey-coloured sandstone, Ballam Park is a French-style farmhouse that recalls life in the 19th century. View artefacts at the local history museum, wander around the flower-filled cottage garden and enjoy scones, jam and cream at the atmospheric tearoom. Mulberry Hill is another heritage-listed gem formerly owned by iconic Australian author, Joan Lindsay.
