About Mount Baw Baw

Famed for its snow sports and scenic hiking trails, Mount Baw Baw forms part of the Great Dividing Range on the Baw Baw Plateau. It rises to 1,567 metres within the Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort, which is the closest alpine resort to the city of Melbourne.

If you’re visiting during summer, you can soak up the spectacular alpine scenery of Baw Baw National Park on one of the bushwalking trails that lead between towering snow gums and wildflowers. Mountain biking trails also crisscross the mountain and are equipped with raised decking so you can ride in all conditions.
