About Wuqi District

Wuchi District is a lively enclave where centuries-old temples stand alongside modern malls. Located just outside Taichung City, it offers a scenic setting on the Taiwan Strait and is a popular destination to shop, dine and play. Wu Chi Old Street is lined with some of the last remaining Qing dynasty buildings in the city. While most were destroyed during an earthquake in the 1930s, Wu Chi Old Street remains intact.
